The Introduction to Research Abroad Program (IRAP) at Texas A&M University has, since 2015, exemplified binational collaboration by engaging freshmen and sophomores in SDG-focused research, bridging Texas in the US with Yucatan in Mexico. Involving multiple TAMU colleges and over 13 Yucatan entities, it serves as a model for global problem-solving and student development. The program offers a transformative research experience from the onset of their academic careers, enhancing global competencies and interdisciplinary skills through binational teamwork.
